2 - $1000 scholarships available to: 1.Any child or grandchild of any member (living, deceased or retired) of a fire department in South Dakota or an active member of a junior fire department in South Dakota (MILLER IS A MEMBER). 2.A high school senior or student entering their first semester of college.3.The applicant must be sponsored by a fire department that has 100% membership in the SD Firefighters Association for the current year.4.The applicant may also be sponsored by a member of the SD Firefighters Auxiliary, a local fire department auxiliary or a member of the Dear Old Timers. 5.The scholarship may be used at a South Dakota college, or Post Secondary institution (Vo-Tech), but may be used in the field of fire science outside of South Dakota
